Choo-choo Train Notes
Freddie Mercury was a Zoroastrian. Zoroastrianism originated some 2,500 years ago in what is now Iran. Alexander the Great destroyed the the Royal Library of Persepolis that housed the texts of Zoroastrianism in 330 BC. This was not Aristotle’s fault. Though Alexander was a bright student and learned plenty from him, Aristotle did not encourage Alexander to go ride around on his horse Bucephalus destroying other cultures. In the long run however, Aristotle probably destroyed or at least damaged more cultures than Alexander the Great. Which bring us to Bertrand Russell’s opinion of him:
“Almost every serious intellectual advance has had to begin with an attack on some Aristotelian doctrine; in logic, this is still true at the present day”.
Everybody know that smoking is bad for you. It causes lung cancer and will shorten your life. Bertrand Russell was a smoker. Therefore, Bertrand Russell’s life was shortened by smoking.
Error. We know now that Bertrand Russell’s life was in fact saved by smoking.
Bukken Bruse disaster: Bertrand Russell sits in smoking section of plane. Plane crashes. Passengers in non-smoking die.
That is the fault of so-called deductive reasoning.

Zoroastrianism, also known as Mazdaism, and Zarathustra was at one time among the world’s largest religions. Founded between 1200 – 600 BCE by Zarathustra, Zoroastrianism was Iran’s (Persia) majority religion for numerous centuries. If not for the invasion of Alexander the Great in 330 BCE, one might say it may have remained the State’s religion. Islam did however; overtake the nation’s majority religion from the 7th century on. .
